Amara
Co-Host/Editor/Recording Human/Basically All the Things Podcast Related
An avid fan of manatees, her home state of Idaho and potatoes, Amara is a three time graduate/veterinary medical school dropout (whoops). She is known for having academic commitment issues, which she thinks is great because it means she can completely switch gears and learn completely new things! Amara prides herself in her talents, which include making red velvet cake shots, befriending all the dogs she can, her arguably too enthusiastic defense of the greatest movie of all time, Pacific Rim, and not knowing how to navigate any city based off of streets but only by proximity to the city's cupcake shops. She is addicted to Brazilian Cheese Bread (pão de queijo) to the point that if she knows a restaurant serves them before going, she has a designated massive handbag lined with plastic to dump basketfuls of cheese bread into her purse (discreetly, duh) to enjoy after the meal in the following days. But don’t worry, she’s a sharer and will share her cheese bread if you ask.
Dave
Co-Host/Voice Talent (he does have an awesome voice)
Dave is a proud Toronto native who once owned a pet beaver on his maple syrup farm growing up. After his pet beaver was attacked by a Mountie who was suffering from science scurvy, Dave decided to devote his life to science. Fueling himself on Tim Horton's (T-Ho's) and an alarming amount of tuna casserole through graduate school, Dave ultimately achieved his goal of becoming an academically appointed super nerd, and now he nerds out every day for a living and loves it. Although his lack of Pacific Rim knowledge is alarming to Amara, he does know other things. His favorite things include chemistry (barf), Sour Patch Kids, video games (not MMORPGs though, like right now he's into SatisFactory), and adorable dogs. Don't bring up the fact that Burger King acquired Tim Horton's or he'll get very sad. One time he bought a box of chocolates for Amara, gave them to her, and proceeded to eat all of them while she was asleep. It was very uncool.
